Monterone was founded in 2003 by former Artist Manager and Music producer David Wiesner and his wife Amrei when they were asked to cater a photo shoot for a high-end European fashion magazine.They had been operating New York’s downtown restaurant “Grotto” which has been hailed as one of NY best 100 restaurants for several years.
Since then Monterone has evolved into a full fledged Catering Company servicing New York’s culinary conscious, demanding corporate, private as well as the international high-end media, fashion and advertising clientele.
Our seasonal menus are composed by our culinary team led by Executive Chef Matthew Knoll (Gramercy Tavern, Lo Scalco, 71 Clinton Fresh Food) with utmost attention to variety and quality. The team’s passion for food and the dedication to our clients will guarantee a perfect menu selection and an overall exhilarating experience for you and your guests.
